**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:

- Architectural Strategy: Develop and implement the IT architectural strategy and associated roadmaps for the integration domain within the Ministry, in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Analyse business requirements and design scalable, secure, and efficient IT integration platforms and solutions.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Design end-to-end integration platform solutions, including hardware, software, networks, and integration points. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess new integration technologies, tools, and platforms to determine their suitability for the organization. Conduct feasibility studies, proof of concepts, and cost-benefit analyses. Provide recommendations and make informed decisions on technology investments.
- Risk Assessment and Security: Identify and evaluate potential risks and vulnerabilities within the IT domain. Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and address their concerns. Build strong relationships, foster effective communication, and facilitate collaboration to deliver successful outcomes.
- Pattern and Standards: Assess and review the need for patterns and standards across the integration Domain, ensuring the alignment of solutions towards the standards and patterns by Solution Architects and partners.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) as an IT architect, with expertise in the specific system integration Domain.
- Strong knowledge of IT architecture frameworks, principles, and methodologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale IT solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with government regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Understanding of various delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINTE2, PMP, SAFe) is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
