**Solution Architect - Payments**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payments focused Solutions Architect to join us on an 18-month fixed term contract.

You'll be joining us at the start of a large technology transformation, where you will be designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to meet technological and business needs. As we are building new and in green fields, you will be able to play with the latest technologies and standards, while also utilising your excellent problem-solving skills to solve complex pieces of work. **What a day might look like**
- Design and Architecture: Create both high-level and detailed design documents for payment processing systems, making sure they align with business goals and technical standards. This includes designing solutions for payment gateways and reconciliation processes.
- Integration: Oversee the integration of various systems and platforms, including third-party payment gateways, to ensure a seamless and efficient payment processing and reconciliation process.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure all solutions comply with industry regulations and standards, incorporating robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of payment processing and reconciliation systems.

**What you'll bring**
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions for payment processing, payment gateways, and reconciliation within the insurance industry. This includes a strong understanding of financial systems, payment gateways, and reconciliation methodologies.
- Cloud Services: Solid experience with cloud services, particularly Azure, including expertise in API management, integration patterns, and specific services such as Service Bus, App Services, Logic Apps, and Function Apps.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry, ensuring all solutions meet legal and industry standards.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
