**About Stop**
Stop is a specialist provider of high-quality evidence-based community assessment and intervention services for children who have engaged in concerning sexual behaviour as well as adolescent and adults who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). At Stop we provide tailored therapeutic interventions which have been proven to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients their families and in turn their communities.

**About the role**
Stop is looking for a Child Specialist Clinician to join our team based in the Christchurch office, flexible hours between 32-40 a week.
The role involves delivery of therapy with the child in the context of their family, supporting schools in managing sexualised behaviour and working with other community agencies involved to enhance child well-being. Our intervention is child and family centred, play based and the clinical model is underpinned by trauma and attachment frameworks.
**About you**
The successful applicant will have the following attributes, skills, and experience:
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Be a passionate advocate for the safety and wellbeing of children
- Have proven therapeutic experience and skills in clinical work with children and families.
- Experience in working alongside and supporting families in stressful situations
- Ability to work closely with the child’s school and social systems
- A recognised qualification in child psychotherapy, psychology, counselling, family therapy or equivalent. Social workers with clinical experience are welcome to apply
- Have an understanding of trauma and attachment focused models of practice
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to make decisions based on sound judgement
- Excellent communication, relationship and organisational skills and enjoys contributing to a strong and reflective team
