We provide Signals Intelligence and Cyber Security and resilience to organisations of national significance to successfully navigate in an unpredictable world.
The role
Are you a leader who's passionate about supporting resilient services in a datacentre environment? Do you feel like you could be doing more with your skills? Are you keen to lead a team of highly skilled technologists to carry out a role vital to our nation's security?
If the answer to these questions is yes, you need to seriously consider working with us at our Marlborough, Wellington or Auckland facilities. As you will gather from the possible locations, your responsibilities are spread around the country and supporting your team remotely will always be a requirement.
**What you'll bring to the position**:
Experience in datacentre infrastructure engineering.
The ability to lead a technical team to achieve their goals.
A capability for managing complex service and lifecycle maintenance needs in a highly secure environment.
Perhaps you might also be able to tick some of the following
Setting and maintenance of infrastructure engineering standards
Directing the development and maintenance of datacentre capabilities and projects.
Technical design and documentation
You will work closely with vendors and industry partners, partner agencies and NZIC staff as part of providing best in class services.

Before you apply
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
**You must**:
Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
