We are currently recruiting for a Practice Lead to head a team of Behaviour Advisor's and a Behaviour Support Assistant. This role will work closely with our Service Delivery and clinical staff within Spectrum Care in delivering their responsibilities and outcomes.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Speech Language Therapists, Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Behaviour Advisors and a Behaviour Support Assistant

Please note this role requires travel to other locations outside of Auckland.

You must have a full, clean NZ Drivers licence

This role is responsible for:

- Carrying a case load
- Ensure best practice is followed by Behaviour Team
- Championing restraint reduction and elimination
- Providing leadership for the Behaviour Support Team and support to the Service Delivery Teams,
- Monitoring, improving and reinforcing evidence based behaviour support practices,
- Planning and development of strategies based on Positive Behaviour Support Principles,
- Embedding minimisation of restrictive practices and Positive Behaviour Support principles within the organisation.

You will have:

- A tertiary qualification at Bachelors level (minimum), which may include Psychology or the equivalent,
- Experience in supporting people and their supports with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder and/or foetal alcohol spectrum disorder at a senior level,
- Experience in the proactive management of restraint minimization,
- Understanding of Trauma-informed care,
- Experience in project management.

You will be based in our head office in Greenlane, Auckland, but may require travel to services provided by Spectrum Care.
