Regional Maintenance Manager

**The role**
As our Regional Maintenance Manager, you will provide regional expertise and support for on-site maintenance teams across 16 locations in Auckland and Whitianga. You will manage and oversee the maintenance of buildings of various sizes and ages, property, and non-medical equipment to an acceptable standard, ensuring we are consistently meeting all compliance requirements. Other responsibilities will include:
- Developing a regional ‘team approach’, encouraging skill and knowledge sharing
- Supporting the implementation of facility maintenance schedules and monitoring compliance
- Conducting facility audits to ensure policies and procedures are being adopted and followed
- Providing orientation and induction to new maintenance staff at each facility
- Promoting environments that promote resident safety, independence, resident centered care, quality of life and good health
- Supporting managers with people related activities, such as recruitment, competency frameworks and performance reviews
- Regular travel to all sites, as required.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be part of our national support office team, based in the Auckland CBD with regular travel across the region (vehicle provided).
**What you’ll bring**:
You will be a confident, articulate communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build solid relationships at all levels and influence effectively, as the people you support won’t report directly to you. To be successful in this role you will also bring:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- The confidence to self-manage, with great time management and organisation skills
- A trade-based qualification
- Experience in multi-site maintenance support preferred
- Knowledge of the building code and BWOF compliance requirements
- Knowledge of safe working methodologies and Health and Safety regulations
- Experience in managing and supporting “smart building” technology
- High-level of competency using MS Office/SharePoint/Teams productivity apps and tools
- A clean NZ drivers’ licence
- Eligibility to work in NZ.
