North Shore Hospital is part of Waitemata District, the fastest growing health board in the country. We are a primary and secondary facility that caters for over 4000 births a year.
We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced midwife to cover 24 hour acute area of our maternity suite. You will coordinate and lead a multi-disciplinary team in a challenging acute clinical environment whilst on shift.
You must have the ability to remain calm and professional under challenging situations, and will be expected to ensure safe skill-mix and manage resources.
You need to have confidence in managing conflict and resolving staffing issues. You will also be expected to identify and instigate quality improvements that ensure an optimum outcome for women and babies.
A strong focus on normal childbirth is essential for this position.
