**Clinical Specialty Midwife - Maternity Assessment Clinic**

**Part time Fixed Term position available**

Be part of our senior midwifery team at the Maternity Assessment Clinic based at Manukau Health Park This is a stand-alone daily clinic for women who require on-going, non-acute assessment and surveillance to improve their pregnancy outcomes.

Staffed each day with a senior midwife and an Obstetrician, plus administrative support, this clinic operates Monday to Friday in daytime hours to offer women joined-up care planning and on-going monitoring.

This community midwifery team of Specialty Midwives consist of part-time positions within MAC to provide a range of experienced staff to cover the week. The role will enable you to spend time taking the lead in running the clinic as well as providing the opportunity of working in the community midwifery service.

We aim to offer women a high standard of co-ordinated care through this clinic, so excellent and proven interpersonal and liaison skills are a must. The ability to work collegially and creatively with medical staff, LMC and employed community midwives will be an integral requirement in this role. Proven ability to contribute towards and communicate the content of clinical management plans is vital for this role. A commitment to developing expert use of BadgerNet is required for any applicants unfamiliar with or not fully confident in using our maternity documentation system.

**Essential**:

- Be a NZ Registered Midwife with a valid APC
- Current full and clean NZ drivers licence
- 1+ years community based antenatal assessment experience
- 1+ years secondary/tertiary hospital experience
