Worker Type: Permanent Here at BNZ, it's about more than just banking. We work together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions through our promise "If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way." We support wellbeing, flexible working and have a generous leave offering. There is the opportunity for growth, learning and career development. No two days are the same. As part of the Learning Design team, the Learning Analyst and Developer will manage and enhance our Learning Management System (LMS), support end-to-end learning solution delivery, and develop learning pathways that align with our career and capability strategies. This is a hybrid role blending technical expertise, instructional design, colleague and stakeholder engagement—ideal for someone who’s passionate about both systems and people. Enabling others through smarter learning systems and design to help us shape the future of capability building through innovation, data, and meaningful digital learning experiences. This role is an Auckland based hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Team anchor day in the office is Tuesday. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with the People Leader (who you would report to), and they told us the following about the role: What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? It’s your opportunity to work at scale in one of New Zealand’s leading financial institutions, where learning and development are seen as essential to business success. You’ll work with our Learning Management system, success Factor and tools like Storyline, SharePoint, and Power BI, and be a key player in initiatives that directly uplift the capability of our people. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? - Maintaining and optimising BNZ’s Learning Management System (LMS) including advising on best use of system capability, user management, permissions, training, documentation and system updates. - Generating learning reports and using data to drive learning effectiveness. - Creating and maintaining learning pathways and programmes aligned to BNZ’s capability frameworks. - Designing and building digital learning content, assessments, and interactive materials. - Collaborating with learning designers and stakeholders to ensure seamless content deployment and learner experiences. What is the team culture and environment like? Supportive, aligned and collaborative. Alongside the day-day support of BNZ’s Learning Management System, there will be an opportunity to support our Senior learning analyst with: - The implementation of a new Workday learning Management system. - The learning rebuild of our current capability pathways and design of digital learning content. What is your management style? Collaborative and inclusive leadership. People-centred, transformational and adaptive. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? With multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders across the business, you’ll need to be able to juggle priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. But if you love a fast-paced, collaborative environment where no two days are the same—this is for you. What skills and experience are required for this role? - Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS). - Strong data skills—able to extract insights from learning reports and translate them into action. - Confidence creating engaging online learning solutions (e.g. using Storyline). - Understanding of learning methodologies and digital delivery in corporate settings. - Great communication and project coordination skills. - A smooth, optimised LMS experience for learners and stakeholders. - Learning solutions delivered on time, with impact. - Stakeholders see you as a trusted advisor who simplifies complexity and drives results. - Learners experience clear, engaging, and relevant learning that supports their career growth. What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ? “My favourite thing about working at BNZ is the way people show up for each other—we’re here to build capability, but we’re also here to grow together.” — Learning Design Lead PLEASE NOTE: Advertising for this position closes Monday 4 August at 11:59pm. Nau Mai ki te Pēke o Aotearoa | Come to the Bank of New Zealand - Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini" - Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.”_ Closing Date: 03 August 2025
