In this role, the Shift Manager will have responsibility and accountability for the short-term planning and day-to-day leadership & management of alternating French Fry shifts and all the resources allocated to this operation. Key competencies are measured around Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Reporting Functions, Employment Relations, and Environment. To understand, comply and where necessary enforce, company policies and practices currently in place and any new policies/practices that are implemented.

**About the role**
- Promote and improve the health and safety culture, ensuring compliance within the Production Department
- Responsible for the implementation and sustainment of all the plant programs, policies and procedures at shift level
- Have a 'hands on' approach to developing a strong Production team
- Understanding the contributors to Total Production Cost, to actively work towards zero loss
- Implement and sustain lean improvements made through continuous improvement events
- Accountable for the quality of all production, ensuring all relevant Quality Management Systems (QMS) are being adhered to
- To have a 'hands on' approach to Employee Relations

**About you**
- Verifiable experience in Supply Chain and Inventory Management with relevant industry qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety, quality (HACCP, GMP), Warehouse Management System and Environment Management Systems
- Ability to understand documentation in any of the above mentioned systems
- A strong team player with good organisational, people and communication skills
- Background in food packaging and processing would be beneficial
- Physically fit to complete mínimal manual handling
