Working a minimum of 30 hours per week you will generally complete 8-10+ hours a day, 5-6 days a week, hiring for day and night shift Experienced Beef, Lamb and Sheep slaughterers earn between $27.50 and $34.00 per hour or on average $55 - $68,000 per year As a skilled Meat Process Worker you will have had two years’ experience in red meat slaughter floors or have successfully completed New Zealand Apprenticeship in Slaughter Operations (Level 4) or a recognised equivalent As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a lot of duties including: - Slaughter Sheep and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses. - Slaughter sheep and hygienically dress in preparation for primal cuts for further processing and packaging, de-boning the cut meat into specific cuts for commercial or other wholesale use. - Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, mesh safety equipment) as provided by the Employer.
