They achieve this by collaborating across Council and by strategically linking sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management and performance analytics.

As the Procurement and Contracts Category Lead you will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end procurement projects within the Infrastructure space with varying levels of complexity.

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**
- You will act as a leading contributor to the efficient and effective management of Christchurch City Council's procurement (incorporating sourcing and contract management) activities in the field of Infrastructure
- Lead and manage allocated end-to-end sourcing projects which will often be low to medium risk and/or high risk
- Supporting the Procurement Manager and Procurement and Contracts Category Lead, you will develop and implement category strategies that support Council's strategic objectives and maximise Council's realisation of benefits.
- The role also incorporates Contract Management (when required to do so), to lead the development and implementation of contract management plans for operational contracts

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**
- Experience leading procurement projects within a medium to large organisation
- High degree of knowledge regarding procurement disciplines and methodology
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the management/delivery of infrastructure or operational projects
- Experienced at Contract Management or Contract administration
- Training/Education in Procurement, Project Management, Contract Management, Commerce, Business, Finance or Law
