As part of the Ministry of Health Faster Cancer Treatment Initiative, Te Whatu Ora is seeking to employ a registered nurse into this senior nurse position.
- Provide leadership to the Faster Cancer Treatment Programme
- Support service improvement of cancer pathways to optimise the patient journey to meet agreed investigation and treatment times including the Faster Cancer Treatment target.
- Identify, facilitate and deliver work programmes to implement Faster Cancer Treatment Standards and improve access to and equity along the cancer pathway.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has a minimum of 3 years experience working within the Faster Cancer Treatment environment.
You will have demonstrated expertise/leadership in Faster Cancer Treatment work as well as a background working in an acute public hospital cancer setting and/or patient focused project management/quality improvement.
You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills, demonstrated initiative and problem solving, an analytical approach to process improvement, a positive and cooperative work ethic, a commitment to improving cancer care processes for our patients and be comfortable working with data and producing reports.
