- Diverse, complex matters; corporate transactions, commercial agreements, sales
- Project structuring, regulatory. Some court work. Support of Associate, 2 jnrs.

**FIT**
- As the sole senior associate aligned with a highly personable partner, you will quickly become a trusted player both to the partner and a key client
- While there will be other _ad hoc_ matters, the primary focus will be high-end legal advice for a sophisticated mining principal
- It will particularly suit if you have a track record of delivering creative and commercial solutions across multiple legal disciplines

**MATTERS**
- Matters span a range of complex and ambiguous corporate and commercial agreements (in the billions of dollars), plus contentious matters arising from existing agreements
- Strategically challenging, included will be corporate transactions, project development, on-sale agreements, and regulatory matters; both domestic and regional
- Given there may be some contentious matters, experience in court would be beneficial
- Expect to be well supported by a dedicated Associate and two juniors/grads

**PROGRESSION**
- Given the close client contact / tight focus, this may well appeal if one of the following applies to you;
- Your ultimate aspirations sit on the in-house side of the fence; this role will be a great ‘finishing ground’ allowing you to get deeper into the commercials of the one client before making such a move
- It could also interest if you have identified the technical, special counsel route through practice as your preferred progression path
- Or you are looking to relocate to Perth / are a recent arrival and would benefit from building network with a ‘ready made’ client contact

**CULTURE**
- Beyond the interest of the work, the Associate within the team has sung the praises of the Partner in question as a highly approachable, knowledgeable and supportive operator
- While being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, please get in touch if you are interested in other working arrangements (PT - 3 or 4 days or contract basis)

**YOU**
- You will ideally bring 6+ yrs’ PAE in corporate and/or energy and resources law
- A strong understanding of the _Mining Act_ (or international equivalent), experience with complex transactions, and court time all well received
