Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As a Data Analyst, you will work in the Data and Analytics team, where we turn health data into actionable information and insights and convert health data into knowledge to support decision making which in turn, improves the health of the population.

**The role involves**:

- Maintain funding settings i.e. recording activity against contracts.
- Understand the information requirements of ADHB. This includes the business needs and costs of the services and funding arrangements.
- Perform analysis whilst understanding the underlying business problem and presenting information conducive to this.
- Assist in running and maintaining the clinical costing system and ensuring that the patient activity is costed correctly. This includes auditing both inputs to the clinical costing system and outputs from the clinical costing system.
- Establish strong relationships with the business units, provide education on funding, costing and casemix issues.
- Assist in data quality activities such as auditing, investigation of data inconsistencies and provide feedback to the appropriate staff for correction.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
- A business-related tertiary qualification, or any degree demonstrating a high degree of numeracy or literacy
- At least two years' experience of data analysis
- Intermediate computer skills, specifically MS Office and SQL
