Service Technician

To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Nilfisk and Kerrick products in the Auckland area. The role requires quality technical and customer service skills; along with effective communication to maximise efficiency, minimise costs and ensure ultimate customer satisfaction with Nilfisk
- Kerrick products.
Key Accountabilities
Repair and Maintenance
Perform routine repairs maintenance and service work on Nilfisk and Kerrick products on company premises, at customer sites or breakdown locations as directed.
Perform routine repairs and maintenance on other affiliated products as required.
Perform all trade qualified work as directed.
Perform non-trades work which is incidental to work practices.
Conduct inspections and fault finding activities on machines as directed.
Dismantle and re assemble machines to a high quality standard to exceed customer’s expectations.
Conduct Scheduled Service work on machines as required.
Fit parts to machines as required by standard operational techniques.
Complete all associated service paperwork accurately and within Nilfisk
- Kerrick instructions.
Driving and operation of machinery with care and as intended.
Workshop Operations
Plan service jobs in an efficient manner to maximise own labour utilisation.
Review own labour utilisation and own costs and implement improvements as required.
Ensure good quality practices are in place to ensure Product and machines are serviced and/or repaired according to customer expectations.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping for the Service areas, vehicles and office areas.
Liaise with customers and develop service relationships to encourage repeat and new business opportunities.
Quoting and constant communication to customers on progress of workshop jobs.
Ensure Workshop practice complies with safety and environmental compliance standards.
Field Service Operations
Plan service jobs in an efficient manner to maximize own labour utilization.
Ensure that planning schedules are effectively communicated with head office, as required.
Implement good quality practices to ensure machines are serviced and/or repaired according to customer expectations.
Ensure a high standard of housekeeping for all Field Service operations.
Ensure to present yourself in a professional, clean and tidy manner expressing behaviours as per Nilfisk Kerrick’s expectations.
Ensure service vehicle is maintained to a high standard that reflects a professional Nilfisk Service business operation.
Liaise with customers and develop service relationships to encourage repeat and new Service business opportunities.
Manage quote process, as well as maintaining constant communication with customers on progress of Field Service jobs.
Quality
Ensure all Service related records and administrative forms are completed and maintained accurately.
Ensure continuous improvement of procedures and standards.
Assist in the further development of Nilfisk Kerrick Policy and Procedures.
Ensure Service, repairs, and maintenance work are of a high standard to reduce rework or unnecessary costs.
