Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning, and whole-of-life support and optimization.

**A bit about the role**

Working out of our Albany office, you will manage the day-to-day running of the Dispatch Team requirements and be the central point of contact between Downer, our clients, and third parties to ensure accurate and timely service to everyone involved. In this position, you will:

- Dispatch service requests and jobs efficiently and effectively
- Update systems with accurate information and job details
- Monitor live jobs and ensure completion times are met.
- Accurately enter data to track job performance.
- Coordinate and support services with external and internal stakeholders

You will have an important role in our team, responsible for maintaining consistency and encouraging ongoing development. Your methodical and logical approach will prove valuable in this varied position. We are looking for someone who can adapt quickly to new challenges and while experience is preferred, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic could be the perfect replacement for starting a career with us.

You will also bring with you:

- Professional interpersonal skills both verbal and written with the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels.
- Familiarity with Call Centre software, dispatch systems, or related technologies
- Willingness to embrace and contribute to evolving processes and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in creative problem-solving within a team setting.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
