**Our ideal applicant will be**
- Ensure operational delivery standards are met or exceeded across all departments under your responsibility, including the Chilled, Frozen, and Grocery Department.
- Control and manage the ordering process for all departments effectively using in-store purchasing systems and handle credits efficiently.
- Implement and maintain proper stock control and stock-taking procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers in conjunction with Department Managers as required.
- Conduct regular tours of all store areas to ensure high presentation standards are maintained at all times, even in chilled or cold conditions.
- Maintain and enhance the store's image by ensuring agreed standards of display and stock presentation in each department.
- Adopt FreshChoice circular promotional and pricing programs to ensure a competitive and consistent market offer.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints appropriately and maintain positive interactions at all times.
- Rotate and fill chilled cabinet products, cap grocery lines, and ensure proper stock rotation, while being comfortable working in a very cold environment.
- Manage the transfer of excess product from the back of the house to the grocery floor for rotation purposes.
- Uphold cleanliness and tidiness of the shop, including mirrors, dusting, wiping shelves, and sweeping floors.
- Perform regular date checks of at least one aisle per week.
- Direct orders as required, as per the direct orders sheet, and check directs twice weekly.
- Provide relief checkout assistance as needed.
- Greet and assist customers, offering help when they appear lost or in need of assistance.
- Assist with compliance checks as required.
- Ensure product tickets (paper or ESL) are in place for all items in-store.
- Support Fresh Departments with their specific needs and requirements.
- Ensure all sales are conducted efficiently and in compliance with laws and company policies for age-restricted product purchases.

In this role you will be responsible for unpacking and merchandising a range of products and ensure the department is kept clean, tidy, and presented well for our customers.

You will need to be professional, follow all Health and Safety and Food Safety Policies, and always maintain price integrity.

**It is important to note that you will be working in cold temperatures for extended periods of time and this is essential to the role - jackets and gloves are provided.**

If you can satisfy most of the criteria below, we'd love to hear from you
- Be available for shifts that involve closing the store at 9pm
- Holds a General Managers Certificate (previously held one or be able to obtain one)
- Proven ability to provide exceptional Customer Service in a retail or similar industry.
- Have an outgoing and pleasant personality.
- Have a strong work ethic and be able to stay calm under pressure.
- Display a solid level of maturity whilst being able to fit into a diverse team.
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to lift up loads up to 25kg at any one time.

Ideally, you'll have some retail or hospitality experience in a similar role with proven excellence in managing an operation. Experience in a supermarket environment is desirable.

The position is a full-time role and will include working a weekend shift. The hours and remuneration will be discussed at an interview.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
