**Senior Planner, Shaping **Te Waipounamu**
- Leadership opportunity delivering transformational planning projects across a range of sectors such as transportation, three waters, local and central government, defence and power

**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**

You will join a tight knit team that is known and respected for their high-quality planning and environmental consulting advice to a diverse range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work with Waka Kotahi, Ministry of Education, KiwiRail, regional and district councils, local Iwi, Rūnanga and Hapū and several other government agencies. You will be part of a team that is proud of their work as trusted advisors on community shaping projects across across Te Waipounamu and around Aotearoa New Zealand.

You will have plenty of scope for success in this role, with significant career development opportunities for your technical planning capability, project delivery, consulting and leadership abilities. We will provide you with exposure to a range of projects and clients, give you the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and work in a nationwide environmental practice. In this role you will be working closely with our Community Shaping team comprising environmental advisors, transport specialists, landscape architects and urban designers delivering projects for clients and the wider business.

You will be a senior level planner passionate about making a difference and looking for your next challenge. As a savvy, innovative and commercially minded professional with a sense of humour you will be motivated to be part of, and strengthen, our growing planning and environmental business. Experience in consultancy is desirable.

You will bring, and be able to apply, your thorough knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991, with strengths in statutory and strategic planning. This position requires excellent communication skills and a broad understanding of a range of disciplines related to planning matters.
