Salesforce Functional Lead

The Ministry for Primary Industries are currently recruiting for a Salesforce Functional Lead to join our Business Systems team, part of our Business Technology & Information Services directorate, based in Wellington.

Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
As Salesforce Functional Lead, your overall focus will be to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and accessibility of MPI's Salesforce solutions.
You will be responsible for the design of systems to streamline business processes and meet the needs of MPI. You will lead the maintenance and support of our Salesforce landscape and work to increase knowledge of Salesforce and its components within the wider team.

**More specifically, you will**:

- Define and evolve best practice across the Salesforce Platform
- Lead Salesforce activities including the maintenance of MPI's pipeline and deployment processes.
- Resolve issues and incidents pertaining to the Salesforce functional solution that exist.
- Configure and add custom coding to solutions
- Streamline systems and processes
- Increase capability and capacity through the assessment of needs & impacts and the recommendation of business solutions

Mōu - About You
To be successful in this role you will have at least 3 years' experience as a Salesforce Functional Consultant or Developer within a large and complex environment. You will have the experience to be able to use your Salesforce certifications, skills, and knowledge to the fullest.

**Preferably, your technical experience will include**:

- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud
- Pipeline deployments to Salesforce environments
- Ability to create and change shared & custom object and code
- Understanding of Salesforce licencing models
- Understanding of security and quality modules such as Shield, AutoRabit and Codescan

Importantly, you will be able to engage in business and technical conversations at various levels, have excellent communication skills, be proactive, drive, and outcome focussed, and someone who is able to offer effective solutions to problems.
