**About the role**:
As a Senior Web Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, programming and testing MEGA desktop web browser. Part of a global team, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

How you'll make an impact
- Work on highly complex ideas and solutions to build innovative and user-friendly web experiences for our users.
- Mentor and guide team members on best practice programming techniques and help resolve technical challenges and problems.
- Improve engineering best practices, coding and source code development standards, guidelines, and our technical infrastructure to help enhance infrastructure and improve reliability and efficiency.
- Cross-team collaboration, with other engineers, product, design, and QA teams, to ensure we create great user experiences whilst also adhering to our high security and privacy standards which are underpinned by our end-to-end encryption.

This role requires flexible working hours as you will collaborate with teams globally.

**About you**:
You enjoy building world-class products which are technically robust and user-friendly.

You’re self-motivated, disciplined, and willing to step out of your comfort zone to try something new.

You have:

- A solid understanding of design principles.
- The ability to create responsive and adaptive layouts.
- Extensive experience in plain JavaScript with some experience in JQuery.
- 4+ years experience as a full-stack engineer.
- A drive to present Clean Code.
- A passion for updating yourself on the latest Web technologies.

**Qualifications**

Ideally, you hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
