About the Role
Southern Health Board in New Zealand is seeking a highly motivated Medical Oncologist to join our team in Dunedin Hospital. The role provides an opportunity to work in a tertiary referral centre with strong links to the School of Medicine at Otago University.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in outreach clinics to peripheral centres.
  • Oversee admissions and manage in-patients with your RMO team.
  • Provide advice to clinicians and patients throughout the district.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or an equivalent qualification, enabling specialist (vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Key Requirements

  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
