We are looking for a talented and experienced Recruitment Manager to join our team at VSA. As a Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of recruiters in finding the right candidates for various roles, designing role scope and collateral, and providing thought leadership and best practice guidance to the team.

About VSA

VSA is New Zealand's largest volunteering agency working within international development. Our programmes support countries across the Pacific and beyond to build capability and sustainable change. We partner with government and international agencies, private businesses, and not-for-profit community groups and organisations to send our volunteers abroad on overseas assignments.

About the Role

The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for leading a team of five direct reports - four Recruitment Advisors and one Recruitment Coordinator. The team provides end-to-end recruitment of around 150 professional volunteers per year, for a range of in-country, e-Volunteering, and other assignments. This includes designing role scope and collateral, providing thought leadership and best practice guidance, and ensuring Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) capability within the team and organisation.

Requirements
  • Experience working in a similar sector, such as a not-for-profit or NGO
  • Track record of people leadership in a recruitment environment
  • Strong relationship skills, including building and maintaining relations with customer groups and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisation, project management, and delivery skills
