About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our emergency management systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust plans, systems, and frameworks to ensure our staff are confident and competent to respond to incidents.

As the Senior Adviser Emergency Management, you will play a critical role in shaping our emergency management capability. You will work closely with colleagues across different departments to develop and deliver emergency management systems, processes, and frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing emergency management systems, processes, and frameworks
  • Leading training and exercising programs to ensure staff are prepared to respond to emergencies
  • Managing a portfolio of projects aligned to our work programme
  • Representing the department in collaborative emergency management groups

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience in emergency management, particularly in complex or large-scale operational environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively
  • Qualification in Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS) Level 4
