This position requires a high level of expertise in emergency management, particularly in complex or large-scale operational environments.

About the Role:
As the lead for the Auckland, Northland, and Waikato region, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and activities aligned to our work programme. This includes supporting multi-agency exercises, representing the department in collaborative emergency management groups, and providing expert advice on policy and operational practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement emergency management systems, processes, and frameworks.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and activities aligned to our work programme.

Requirements:
This role requires a high level of expertise in emergency management, particularly in complex or large-scale operational environments. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in crisis response, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience writing and running desktop exercises. Additionally, applicants must be qualified in Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS) Level 4 and have a university degree in Emergency Management or a related discipline.
