Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our editorial team as a Chief Editor - Financial Content. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a compelling content strategy for Money & Personal Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Content Strategy: Develop and implement a content strategy that meets audience needs and supports our wider goals.
  • Commission and Edit Content: Commission and edit high-quality financial journalism that breaks original stories and provides expert analysis.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and product teams to drive content-driven commercial opportunities.
  • Manage Editorial Team: Manage a high-performing editorial team, providing guidance and support to ensure success.
  • Monitor Industry Trends: Monitor industry trends and audience insights to refine content strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • A seasoned journalist with a strong background in financial reporting and editorial leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement content strategies that grow and engage audiences.
  • Expertise in digital storytelling, including audio, video, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent editorial judgement, with a keen eye for original and impactful stories.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience mentoring and developing teams.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong industry relationships.
  • Knowledge of media law and a solid grasp of audience analytics and insights.
