This role is responsible for overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed within budget and schedule. The successful candidate will be involved in formulating cost estimates during the design phase and managing project costs throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tender: Manage the tender process from preparation to evaluation and recommendations.
  • Price Benchmarking: Participate in pre-tender activities to obtain market sensing and raise relevant pre-bid queries in estimating the procurement value.
  • Contract Management & Administration: Document, administer, and advise on contractual disputes and matters.
  • Budget Management: Manage overall project finance from budget forecasting to actual invoice management.
  • Stakeholder Management & Implementation: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve value for money.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 7 years of relevant experience in construction management or Quantity Surveyor (QS) management, with relevant experience in government procurement processes and policies.
  • Preferred to have professional membership or certifications in quantity surveying or construction management.
  • Background in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field, or experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting.
