">Job Description
">As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will join a collaboration between the Department and other institutions focused on fish cell production systems for sustainable seafood and marine innovation.
Your key tasks will include interacting with program leaders, staff, and students to develop and advance technologies and protocols. You will also plan and execute experiments, analyze data, present at scientific meetings, write up results for contract reports and publications, and assist with supervision and training of postgraduate students.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">- You should have a PhD in cell biology, tissue engineering, or a related field.
- You must have expertise in primary cell culture, mRNA and protein analyses.
- You need experience in rheology, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, confocal and scanning electron microscopy or be able to acquire new skills quickly.
- You should be able to work independently and co-operatively with other team members to meet research goals and deadlines.
- You need excellent spoken and written scientific communication skills.
- You must have proven ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds.
