About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Te Whetu Tawera, a 58-bed acute inpatient mental health unit located next to the beautiful Auckland City Domain.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health settings and possess excellent interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and good organisational abilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a range of professionals including kaiatawahi, consumer leaders, whanau/families, volunteers, health professionals, and NGO staff.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in facilitating Tangata Whaiora occupational performance and participation, preparing them for community living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualised treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy programs
