**Shape the Future of Aotearoa New Zealand**

We are seeking highly motivated and analytical individuals to join our graduate programme. As a graduate analyst, you will contribute to important work streams that shape the economic and financial decisions of the Government.

The Treasury - Te Tai Ohanga is committed to creating a better future for New Zealand and its people. Our work involves providing economic and financial advice to the Government, with a focus on improving the wellbeing of all New Zealanders.

You will be part of a diverse and collaborative team, working on significant pieces of advice across various portfolios. The opportunity to move between teams and streams after completing the programme will allow you to explore different areas of interest.

Our work streams include:

Macroeconomic Stream: Focused on improving New Zealand's wellbeing through macroeconomic and fiscal policy, modelling, research, and forecasting.

Capital & Commercial Stream: Focused on improving New Zealand's wellbeing through utilising the Government's commercial and financial assets.

Policy, Performance and Advisory Stream: Focused on improving New Zealand's wellbeing through policy advice and the Government's annual Budget.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A university degree, preferably majoring in economics, finance, accounting, or law
  • The ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusive practices
