Job Description Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Child and Youth Psychiatrist to work in our Dunedin-based Youth Specialty Service. As a member of our team, you will contribute to providing specialist mental health services for 14-18 year olds, collaborating with the primary health sector, education, and NGO sectors.

Your responsibilities will include assessment and treatment, with a focus on family/whanau inclusion in service delivery and recovery-oriented approaches. You will have the opportunity to support our rural clinics through Telehealth appointments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assessment and treatment of patients aged 14-18 years
  2. Collaboration with primary health sector, education, and NGO sectors
  3. Family/whanau inclusion in service delivery and recovery-oriented approaches
  4. Support for rural clinics through Telehealth appointments (if required)

Requirements

  • Fellowship with the RANZCP or equivalent
  • Eligibility for registration with the NZ Medical Council
  • A full driver's license
