Job Description

The Asset Maintenance and Manipulator Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of various facilities at ANSTO. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can maintain, install, and diagnose faults on manipulators used for remote handling of materials in radioactive environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair manipulators, assets, and equipment to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Investigate, identify, and fault-find issues with manipulators and associated components.
  • Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Monitor stock levels of spares, consumables, and reorder as required using SAP.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns in hot cells and provide technical advice on maintenance and performance issues 24/7.
