Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced economic policy leader to join the leadership team of the Treasury's Economic Strategy Directorate. The Directorate leads the Treasury's advice and thinking on what matters most for medium-term economic performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Economic policy expertise, ideally with at least ten years' experience working in a public policy role
  • Proven ability to lead work programmes and influence outcomes
  • Strong intellectual leadership skills and the ability to build credibility with experts
  • Capability as a strategic thinker, including anticipating the needs of Ministers and ensuring timely and influential advice
