Collection and Delivery Coordinator

About The Salvation Army's Family Stores:
Our nationwide network of over 130 stores sell a range of quality, donated goods and offer a free pick up of donations along with delivery of sold items.
The Bay of Plenty Family Store Group provides a small truck service to support seamless customer service.
The Role: This is a permanent part-time position working 16-24 hours per week on Thursday-Saturday. As a Collection and Delivery Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring donated goods are collected or delivered in an efficient, safe and timely way, while providing an excellent customer/donor experience that leads to repeat visits.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing excellent customer service to customers and donors
- Complete collections and deliveries of goods in accordance with a daily schedule
- Scheduling and planning of efficient routes to optimise processing operations in store
- Loading, unloading, and stacking goods safely, and appropriately
- Complete daily vehicle checks, ensuring the vehicle is maintained to a high standard
You Must Be Able To:
- Relate to people from diverse backgrounds
- Operate and take care of basic maintenance of a small truck (manual and auto)
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve desired outcomes and targets
- Keep to task and re-prioritise as required whilst under pressure
