About the Opportunity

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the supervision of Portfolio Managers in Wellington-Altus Private Wealth's managed account platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and business standards across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough supervision activities, including trade alert reviews, report approvals, and account maintenance
• Manage the direct supervision of Associate Portfolio Managers, fostering development of appropriate standards and systems
• Assist in maintaining a robust Portfolio Management Approval Process to vet internal candidates for firm sponsorship
• Support the creation and upkeep of supervision programs for managed accounts, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory needs
• Participate in internal compliance reviews or external regulator audits
• Continuously seek improvements to our system of compliance and supervision

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will possess:
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or finance
• Successful completion of proficiency requirements for a Supervisor, including Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook
• At least 10 years of experience in financial services, preferably working for a Dealer Member or ICPM
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements from CIRO, securities commissions, and the SEC
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Demonstrated accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in daily work and long-term goals
• Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with effective communication and collaboration across various mediums
• High tolerance for ambiguity, adaptability, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with prioritization and stress management in fast-paced environments
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
