We are seeking an experienced and passionate Caseloading Midwife to join our Nati Pevi Team. As a midwife, you will work across our East Coast communities, providing high-quality care to our whanau (family) and promoting the health and wellbeing of our mokopuna (children).

Nati Pevi is an indigenous maternal and infant wellbeing service that blends clinical, social wellbeing, and Rongoa Maori practices. We offer an integrated service that supports the physical, emotional, and cultural wellbeing of our whanau.

As a caseloading midwife, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides personalized care to our clients. You will work collaboratively with our kaimahi (team members) to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each whanau.

This is a permanent full-time position based across Te Tairawhiti, working a shared roster that offers work-life balance. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our whanau, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Midwifery
  • Current registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand
  • Current Advanced CPR level 7 and neonatal resuscitation certification
  • Ability to connect with patients on a personal level and show genuine empathy
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to our whanau
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and informed choices of our whanau
  • A high level of cultural sensitivity and awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi and the Ottawa Charter
  • Proactive in exemplifying our values and embedding Ngati Poroutanga in all work practices
  • Full, clean NZ Driver License
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
