This is a challenging opportunity to lead a newly formed team, focusing on providing effective regulatory support to the Catchment Operations group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring staff, working alongside other Team Leaders, and coordinating the team's work programme.
A key focus for this role will be providing expert advice, prioritizing workloads, and working with the Freshwater and Projects Manager to lead, grow, and develop the team.
- Strong leadership skills are essential, as well as excellent relationship management and communication skills.
- Experience in regional government and knowledge of relevant legislation and NZ standards are highly desirable.
To succeed in this role, you will have a relevant planning or natural science tertiary degree and at least two years' experience in environmental management or regulatory management.
Effective time management and a high level of awareness of health and safety are also vital in this role.
We're looking for someone with a professional attitude, a commitment to delivering high service, and a passion for working with a team of committed professionals.
