**Role Description:**

This Wellness Coordinator position plays a critical role in promoting the wellbeing of tamariki within Primary and Intermediate Schools through the Mana Ake program.

The successful candidate will work closely with school staff, parents, and whānau to identify and address wellbeing needs, providing support and guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement wellbeing programs/interventions tailored to the needs of individual students and classes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate wellbeing into daily school routines.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, families, and staff as needed.

**Requirements:**

  • Registered healthcare professional with experience working in education settings or similar environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certified First Aid training an advantage.
