Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Children's Community Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our paediatric clinical nurse specialist team, you will provide advanced nursing practice within an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, independence, and self-care for whanau who have complex health needs in the home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing care within a case management model to support a variety of paediatric health areas, including acute/chronic/complex medical cares, neonatal care, and wound management.
  • Visit tamariki and whanau in their homes to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each family.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient interactions and progress.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in paediatric nursing, preferably in a NZ Health Care setting, including acute paediatrics.
  • A PG Diploma in a specialty nursing practice or working towards this qualification.
  • A current APC and NZ drivers' licence.
