The organization's mission is to enhance the lives of others through animal-assisted therapy.
We are looking for a compassionate individual to lead our Therapy Pet team in Palmerston North.
As a Therapy Pet Team Leader, you will:
- Support and mentor our team of Therapy Pet Volunteers
- Recruit new volunteers and match them with suitable facilities
- Liaise with facilities visited by volunteers
- Provide monthly reports and coordinate with local St John teams
- Organize recognition events and team connections
This is an unpaid voluntary position that requires at least 2-3 hours of commitment per week.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Excellent communication skills and an empathetic personality
- Previous team management experience
- A love for animals and experience working with them is a plus
- Be at least 18 years old and have a clean criminal record
