Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Refurbishment project.
Your key responsibilities will include managing site operations, ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and teams.
You will also be responsible for estimating, tracking, and forecasting costs, as well as programming and scheduling, and administering and reporting on project progress.
- Manage site operations to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with HSEQ requirements.
- Ensure commercial project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and teams.
- Estimate, track, and forecast costs to ensure successful project financial management.
- Programme and schedule projects to meet deadlines and milestones.
- Administer and report on project progress to ensure goals are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or relevant vocational experience).
- At least 5 years of project experience in infrastructure maintenance, construction, or related fields.
- A Full New Zealand driver's license.
- Proven project administration and cost estimation experience in maintenance or construction.
- Temporary works management experience (scaffolding) would be highly desirable.
- The ability to manage safe working practices at heights.
- The ability to comprehend and manage structural engineering design packages.
- Experience in the maintenance of steel structures and industrial coatings would be highly desirable.
- Scheduling skills using MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
