**Job Description**

Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business.

As a Mechanical Inspection Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all purchased materials meet our high-quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct technical inspections of parts/assemblies to ensure they conform to Rocket Lab drawings and quality requirements.
  • Verify technical documentation against engineering drawings and other applicable requirements.
  • Enter data into our ERP system to maintain accurate records and traceability.
  • Review inspection reports and records to confirm compliance with Rocket Lab requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, and initiate non-conformance tickets as needed.

**Requirements:**

  • 2+ years experience in mechanical/electromechanical part and assembly inspection.
  • Skilled in the use of measuring equipment, including vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experienced in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or non-contact measuring equipment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with quality process experience.
  • Ability to learn and operate new equipment safely.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
