About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Maternity Care Assistant to join our maternity team at Southern District Health Board (New Zealand). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our midwives and providing high-quality care to new mothers and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting our Midwives – assisting with patient care under supervision
  • Cleaning equipment and preparing the birthing rooms
  • Basic baby care (bathing, changing nappies, and settling babies)
  • Assisting women with showering and at meal times
  • Clerical duties and other general duties as required to assist with the smooth running of the department

What You'll Gain:
