We are collaborating with a leading consulting firm based in Christchurch, looking for an intermediate planner to join their team.

The successful candidate will be working on a mix of residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects, providing an excellent opportunity to become part of an organization that values collaboration and focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and managing resource consent applications and other planning processes
  • Liaising with consultants, stakeholders, regional and local authority representatives
  • Leading and working on local projects through to completion, collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines
  • Project managing the different stages associated with planning projects
  • Maintaining concise communication with other offices and the rest of the planning team

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of resource management planning in New Zealand along with a planning and/or resource management degree
  • Practical and all-round planning experience
  • Hold or be eligible for New Zealand Planning Institute membership
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the resource management planning sector
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously on projects both locally and out of region
