The Role:
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and test of our advanced rockets. As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop mechanical systems that meet functional, performance, and safety requirements. This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary engineer who is passionate about working on complex projects from critical design through to integration and launch.

Key Responsibilities:
- Guide multi-disciplinary teams to align Neutron's portfolio of human certified mechanical systems with program strategy and technical maturity phases
- Develop mechanical systems that meet functional, performance, and safety requirements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on projects from concept to completion

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years industry experience in the design, development, and test of mechanical systems in a relevant technical field (i.e. Structures, Fluid Systems, Mechanisms, Propulsion)
- Demonstrated experience in delivering complex multidisciplinary systems with hardware, embedded software, application software, and mechanical components
- Strong desire to learn new material in order to solve difficult, ambiguous challenges
- Proven track record of technical leadership and mentorship on projects from concept to completion
