Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at the Agency For Science, Technology And Research. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the areas of global performance analysis and structural response analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with experience in offshore engineering, marine engineering, hydrodynamics, naval architecture, and ocean engineering. Proficiency in numerical methods and software such as CAD, finite element analysis tools, and programming languages like Python, MATLAB, and C++ is also required.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Conduct research in the areas of global performance analysis and structural response analysis
  • Collaborate with industry partners, affiliated research institutes, and other relevant stakeholders to contribute to grant proposals for research funding consistent with the strategic goals of TCOMS
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and other stakeholders to identify research opportunities and secure funding

Qualifications

  • Min Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Applied Mathematics, or other related disciplines
  • Relevant research/industry experience with competent knowledge in some of the following areas: offshore engineering, marine engineering, hydrodynamics, naval architecture, and ocean engineering
