About the Role
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the day-to-day operations of our General Theatre team. As the Theatre Team Lead - Surgical Care, you will oversee the efficient management of patient care, ensuring high standards are upheld across peri-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
">You will tackle a high-volume, demanding specialty, taking charge of resources, workflows, and quality compliance to deliver outstanding surgical care. Your exceptional leadership skills and clinical expertise will be essential in managing resource allocation, patient flow, and the utilisation of theatre time to optimise outcomes.
">The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and proven leadership abilities, with expertise in strategic planning and direction of operating theatre services. You will thrive under pressure and excel at communication and problem-solving, with a calm and composed demeanour even in challenging situations.
">In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team focused on providing high-quality patient care in general surgery. You will promote a culture of excellence, ensure adherence to operating theatre standards, processes, and policies, and navigate complex situations daily, applying critical analysis to develop effective solutions.

">There is a strong team focus in Theatre, with nursing staff working together closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a person/whānau centred approach. ">You are an experienced healthcare professional with a strong clinical background and proven leadership abilities. You will thrive under pressure and excel at communication and problem-solving, with key attributes including expertise in strategic planning and direction of operating theatre services, exceptional skills in patient care coordination, budgeting, and resource management, in-depth knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, implants, and specialty consumables, and a calm and composed demeanour, even in challenging situations.

">Requirements
">- 3+ years of experience in an operating department environment.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Strong clinical background and proven leadership abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, implants, and specialty consumables.
