**About the Team**

The Resource Recovery team is part of the Transport & Waste Management unit at the Christchurch City Council. Their key responsibility is to develop and implement the management and maintenance of the City's solid waste strategy.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Administrative Officer to join the team.

**Job Description**

This position acts as a point of contact and manages customer and contractor escalation, providing administration assistance to the Resource Recovery team. The successful candidate will contribute to public and business understanding and compliance with the Waste Management Bylaw and solid waste disposal methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level public interaction and manage the interface between the Solid Waste Collection and the public.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and work well in an unsupervised environment.
  • Prioritise tasks and show initiative in resolving problems and developing new solutions.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A NZQA Level 4 or equivalent training and work experience.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a business or administration environment.
  • A high level of computer literacy and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Working knowledge/experience with the HYBRIS administrative tool.
