The Role

Unlocking Growth in Energy, Infrastructure, and Utilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Consultant to lead our expansion into the private sector. This strategic role will blend client development with hands-on delivery, driving growth in key sectors while positioning Assemble as a leading advisor.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leverage existing networks to convert opportunities into projects, supported by Assemble's national reputation.
  2. Lead feasibility studies, PWA-compliant acquisitions, and land tenure investigations for private clients, ensuring timely project delivery.
  3. Mentor junior consultants and collaborate with Assemble's planners, legal experts, and consultant teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
  4. Utilize AI-driven tools and Assemble's proprietary systems to streamline due diligence and stakeholder reporting.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Property or Law, or comparable experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in property consulting, with expertise in Energy, Infrastructure, or Utilities sectors.
  • Additonal experience delivering land/property for public infrastructure, crown agencies, TLA, or large capital programmes in NZ.
  • Proven ability to grow client portfolios while managing technical deliverables like RMA compliance or land negotiations.
  • Working knowledge of NZ's Public Works Act, RMA, and local government processes.
