About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef/Café Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food to our residents. You will also play a critical role in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and effectively, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents;
  • Prepare and cook set meals to residents' satisfaction in a timely manner;
  • Assist the Café Supervisor with daily operations of the on-site café;
  • Build and manage rapport with direct reports, with full accountability for all aspects of coaching and performance development;
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to food safety and quality.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in culinary arts, with experience in managing a successful team in a similar environment. You will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to deliver exceptional results.
